boice has released two previous albums, How to Be an Adult (2010) and Get Me Audio, Vol. 1 (2013).

He is also the host and producer of Talk Music Talk, a music interview podcast featuring longform conversations with people connected to music, from musicians and authors to  music therapists and music photographers. Since 2014, he’s interviewed over 200 guests from all different genres including former Interpol bassist Carlos D, Bartees Strange, Mel D. Cole, Antonio Sanchez, Parquet Courts’ Andrew Savage, Emil Wilbekin, Donny McCaslin (Bowie’s “last band”), Meshell Ndegocello, Ricky Powell and Cécile McLorin Salvant. boice was also the original host and creator of Strand Bookstore’s official podcast, The StrandCast.

He has published three books of fiction (The Daughters of a Mother, Screwball Comedy/Stories Going Steady and Janet Hurst) and is editor of Coloring Book: An Eclectic Anthology of Fiction and Poetry by Multicultural Writers, which was praised by Gregory Maguire, author of Wicked.

boice holds degrees from both the University of Pittsburgh and New York University’s Graduate School of Journalism. He’s currently an editor and submissions judge for 33 1/3’s series of short books about albums.
